Cartoon illustrator work

Just looking at a few images and trying to illustrate them as I would do in pencil. Shame the file size is small hence the poor resolution but I am pretty happy with the development of some of my illustrator vector work.

Just creating this minimalist form allows me to think differently about the composition of shapes, in particular through different layers. Attentions to detail, or what is necessary. The list continues with this interest in the efficiency of minimalism and similar 'no styles'

Cafe Graphic 2.0

Just playing with a couple of adobe tools to create a slick cafe graphic.

Im on my way to printing off my mock up menu, so much more to designing than working on the PC/Mac. I used to believe by committing myself to the adobe range of tools that i could master the design process. I have found that it isn't simply like that at all. Design is a lifestyle of work, where the mind needs to find that taste and interest in visual solution.

Its more than working on screen.

Playing with hand made photoshop brushes

Such great fun with some experimental photoshop work. Bit unusual for a stance painting outcome, but I really enjoy the hair textures! I scanned my hand drawn ink and paint works onto the PC, to create my own custom brushes.

logo and imagery at Skate Cafe

photographs taken at the Harbourside in Bristol. The use of imagery has become a greater interest in the practical use of combinations of photo and typography. The circular shape of the logo is interrupted with triangles and other geometrical shapes, as well as the use of text to present the title of the Cafe company.

Growing an interest in creating mock leaflets and menus, will continue my research and skill developments to create a graphic production to the best of my skill level.

Coffee to go! cafe graphic

Just working on a little side project on top of what a mountain of Graphic designer interest in my new graphic design foundation degree that I have just recently started!

I have been volunteering for a couple of Art galleries recently which has been really interesting. I have recently watched the 'Helvetica' film also, which has held such a great inspiration for some more graphic and type work to come.
